Acer Unveils AI-Powered Predator Laptops at Computex

Acer made a splash at Computex 2025, announcing a range of new laptops, including several AI-powered Predator gaming models and thin-and-light options. The company showcased its commitment to both high-performance gaming and creator-focused designs.
The highlight was the Predator Triton 14 AI, a remarkably thin (0.68 inches at its thickest) 14.5-inch gaming laptop aimed at gamers and creative professionals. Powered by Intel's Core Ultra 9 288V "Lunar Lake" processor with integrated RAM, it boasts a 2880 x 1800, 120Hz OLED touchscreen, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with Studio drivers. Acer incorporated graphene as the thermal interface material, improving cooling performance by 14.5% compared to traditional thermal paste. The Triton 14 AI also features a haptic touchpad with stylus support and a per-key RGB keyboard. Significantly, it's certified as a Copilot+ PC, thanks to its Lunar Lake NPU's 48 TOPS processing power.
For those seeking a more traditional gaming experience, Acer introduced the Predator Helios Neo 14 AI. While slightly thicker at 0.82 inches, it offers more powerful Intel Core Ultra 9 285H "Arrow Lake" processors, up to an RTX 5070 GPU, and screen options of either a 2880 x 1800, 120Hz display with a MUX switch or a 2560 x 1600, 165Hz display using Nvidia Advanced Optimus. It also includes a metal lid with a customizable RGB logo and a three-zone RGB keyboard.
Beyond the Predator line, Acer announced several other laptops. The Swift Edge 14 AI, a thin and light laptop vying for the MacBook Air market, features Intel's Lunar Lake chip and a 2880 x 1800 OLED display. In the more budget-friendly segment, Acer revealed the Aspire 14 AI and 16 AI, offering configurability with AMD, Intel, or Qualcomm chips.
Pricing and release dates for North America remain unannounced, with Acer stating that this information will be released closer to market availability. However, European launch dates are set for July for the Predator Triton 14 AI and Helios Neo 14 AI, starting at €2,999 and €1,699 respectively. The Swift Edge 14 AI will be available in June starting at €1,599. Acer also showcased updated Predator Orion 3000 desktops with the latest Intel and Nvidia components.
